For a while I’ve been getting back into photo editing and shooting without ever making a single place to show the work off. Aside from the long exposure shots, I really try to tinker as less as possible with editing software unless I decide to go full on and just make a show of it. Some selects from 2015-2020 in the gallery. No coherent theme aside from the black and white long exposure shots. I genuinely dislike people in my shots for a variety of reasons (namely “are you taking a picture of ME/MY LARGE ADULT SON/MY WIFE”).
Photo composite, 2018.
Two film writers meet at a bar and I got too into Photoshop.
2020. I mostly spent the last year doing long exposure shots in black and white with a physical red lens filter and a built-in ND lens adapter. The National Mall is an ideal spot to capture the movement I’m looking for and occasionally get a happy accident.
2020. Third verse, same as the first.
2019. The Uptown is one of Washington, D.C.’s oldest movie theaters and one of the last single screen theaters in the area. They became infamous during the Star Wars prequels for lines that lasted up to three weeks before release as people bought tickets and camped out. Anticipating something similar for Star Wars: The Last Jedi this was set up. As you can see, times change.
2018. Sometimes I do color too.
2017. Negronis were popular and I figured a decent thing to shoot at a bar. I annoyed a lot of people since normally one does this in a controlled environment.
2018. You should see what I shot with my other hand.
2018. Smoke rising from someone’s nice home.
2015. Shot on a Polaroid Cube so this is a huge image but the resolution is complete ass. Fitting film though for what would come out in a few years about Cinefamily and how it treated their staff.
2018. Photo composite shot in the same spot in the afternoon and night. Thanks Photoshop.
